Colonialtown – Downtown Orlando

Colonialtown North boundaries are Nebraska St on the north and Colonial Dr on the south, Bumby Ave on the east and Mills Ave on the West.  Colonialtown South boundaries are  Colonial Dr on the north and Robinson St on the south, Bumby Ave on the east and Mills Ane on the West.    Colonialtown North consists of about 1500 homes and Colonialtown South about 800 homes. 

Education

There are plenty of options for schools located close to the neighborhood.  The public schools currently zoned are Hillcrest Elementary, Fern Creek Elementary, Howard Middle School, and Edgewater High School.

Amenities

Colonialtown Neighborhood Center  is located on Lake Highland Drive across the street from Fern Creek Elementary School.   A wide variety of programs are offered as well as after school care and summer camps for children.  John Long Memorial Pool is open during the summer and is free to all City of Orlando Residents! 

Colonialtown Square Park is a great place to meet neighbors or else just sit and enjoy the tranquility.

Colonialtown is just minutes from Cady Way Trail, the YMCA, Leu Gardens and a number of other recreational options. 

Colonialtown Real Estate

Colonialtown is just minutes from anything you could possibly need.  The neighborhood was started in the 1920′s and some sections of the neighborhood have quaint brick streets.  You’ll find all types of home styles but the area is known for Craftsman style bungalows with open porches.  Mature landscaping provides a nice tree canopy.   Colonialtown homes range from townhouses to bungalows to larger remodeled homes.
